[edit] Biography Summary
McNeil is one of the most popular figures among the voice acting fandom for his general friendliness, exuberance, and tendency to speak as one of his many characters at the request of his fans (for example; singing the song "I'm a Cucumber" from the Brak Show in his Piccolo voice (Piccolo is a green alien). He appears at many anime conventions, and occasionally gathers an entourage so large as to obstruct hall traffic. When he and other convention guests sit down for autograph sessions, there is usually a "Scott Line" and "Everyone Else Line" for the sake of convenience.[citation needed]
His nearly-permanent attire is a cowboy hat, jeans, and a flannel shirt, with varying styles of head and facial hair.
[edit] Trivia
Scott is an avid scuba diver, thoroughly exploring the aquatic realm in the Pacific Northwest. According to friends, he makes up incredible voices for the various fish and other marine life.
Scott McNeil has, on at least one occasion, passed out while voice acting on Dragon Ball Z.
He also had great disdain for the Admiral of the Artemis Space Fortress (Gerard Garcia, whom he voices in the English dub) in Gundam Seed and has been alleged to nickname the character "Admiral Fat guy".
Has been known to show up at conventions unannounced, much to the dismay of the staff.
He tends to take a lot of time to talk to his fans during autograph sessions, causing the wait time to increase dramatically.
Tokusatsu fans recognize Scott's face as Bonesteel from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles- The Next Mutation; this is because the series had a team up with the Astro Rangers and much of those watching TMNT:NM were Power Ranger fans.
He actually tried to get a walk-on role in both X2: X-Men United, and X-Men: The Last Stand, but the studio didn't want to use any of the animated series voice actors.
Scott played the "Evil Masked Figure" in Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, but he is not the one shown when the villain is unmasked.
He has a level 60 Night Elf Hunter in World of Warcraft. He has spent many nights leveling up his character. Often during his overnight World of Warcraft gaming sessions, he would notice that the sun was starting to rise outside, and then realize that he had a recording session scheduled in an hour.
