Scott Alexander Maslen[1] (born London 1971) is an English actor best known for his portrayal as DS Phil Hunter in ITV's The Bill. He was brought up in Woolwich and joined the Marines at the age of 16. He went to Miami at 18 to see where fortune lay and was spotted by photographer Bruce Weber, and he earned a successful career as an international model, travelling the world earning "a good living" in glamourous locations.
Five years later, he turned to acting and landed a role in the successful television series Lock, Stock... in 2000. Scott Maslen also played the live action rendition of Claude Speed in DMA Design's (now Rockstar North) promotional video and opening sequence for Grand Theft Auto 2. After a few more television and film roles he landed his part in The Bill.
Maslen is also a vegetarian, and known for his involvement with the Vegetarian Society, and he is also a supporter of the West Ham United Football Club and can be seen interviewed on the 05/06 Season Review DVD.
