Scott Higgins (born June 9, 1976 in Cairns, Queensland, Australia) is an Australian football player who plays as a goalkeeper. He currently plays for Israeli side Maccabi Herzliya.
Higgins grew up in Brisbane with his parents Ross and Shirley and his older brother Andrew. He attended Ferny Hills state Primary School and later Kelvin Grove state High School. He started his professional footballing career with A-League side Queensland Roar before moving to Europe in June 2006 to join Scottish Premier League club Falkirk. Originally considered a first-choice selection in goal, by January 2007 Higgins had been supplanted by both Jeroen Lambers and the on-loan Kasper Schmeichel. He negotiated a release from his Bairns contract to join Herzliya on 24 January. [1]
