Scopical is a digital content and social media development organisation based in Sydney, Australia. Scopical was developed to provide an independent alternative to many markets and services currently dominated by large mainstream organisations. The companies development took place during 2006 with ongoing progress in online news and editorial services, e-commerce and social media.

Scopical is currently seeking to develop online services within Australia that syndicate and publish a large variety of independent media from throughout Australia and the World. This is thought to be the core Scopical concept in altering the delivery of digital media. According to its website, Scopical will source "...information from independent organizations that produce quality, alternative perspectives and content on Australian and World interactions"

The company has recently accounced that its previously conceptual and proposed model of syndication, the core Scopical service of content provision, will go live in July of 2007^[1]. Whilst an exact date has not been officially set for its release, according to information released by the company in January of 2007, this will take place "...by the end of July 2007"^[1].

Little is known about the actual technology or method of syndication the service will employ, however company documents suggest a system of manual syndication and publication. This would allow the service and its syndicated partners to remain in control of content publication, as stated within the key objectives of the services presence. ^[2]

Currently, the service owns one independently managed political and media commentator; Political Test Dummy - A concept developed "to provide individuals throughout Australia and the world with a viable and independent alternative to the bulk of the mainstream media". The company also owns Sydney based digital media and production establishment Resonate Media. Resonate Media is also known to work in tandem with Streichler owned GWM Group, under the title GWM/Resonate Media Strategic Alliance. The alliance is said to have been developed to facilitate "..services to local community infrastructure... endeavoring to provide young Australians with a bright future". It's current status is however unknown due to the lack of information regarding current projects.
