Science Hill High School is a public high school (grades 8-12) in Johnson City, TN with an enrollment of approximately 2500 students. The school is split over two campuses.

Science Hill High School originates from the Science Hill Debating Society, founded in 1864. In 1866, it was renamed Science Hill Seminary and later became known as Science Hill High School.
The high school was named for its placement on a hill located on South Roan Street in Johnson City, TN. The campus was moved to its current location at 1509 John Exum Parkway in the early 1960s.
Their mascot is the Hilltopper

The school's sports teams are known as the Hilltoppers, or 'Toppers, and are represented by a top hat and two white gloves.
Science Hill's basketball team won state championships in 1990-1991, 1993-94, 1994-1995. It was ranked as highly as the number third team in the nation by USAToday.[citation needed]
