Hello there. Welcome to my own little slice of the 'net.

On the English Wikipedia, forums, and games, I usually go by Schlagwerk. Occasionally, I call myself asterax, dj Asterax, Lawn Wake XI, or Schlagwerk.TQC. It all depends on my current mood when I register, or if the name's already been taken (this has only happened once). I'm a student at Weymouth High School, currently in my senior year. I aspire to go into the field of computer science, hopefully by becoming a game programmer. Currently, I'm hoping that I be accepted at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Boston University, or University of Vermont.

I wiped this page once already because I decided that I had way too many userboxes, so I'm gonna try not to go overboard this time.

According to Google, it means "rammer". According to my Lehrerin, Google is wrong.

At this point in time, I've figured out that a literal translation of it means hitting work. Now if only English could be that simple. Or maybe not.

In truth, I got the name from a TaQ song of the same title. It was more or less the first song to fall under the big beat genre that I had heard, and I really liked both the name and the song itself. The rest is history.

Mostly, I like to edit articles about music. Music theory, music composition, albums, artists, singles, whatever. I can't live without my tunes, which is why I find myself using either Reason or FL Studio almost every day.

I'm part of WikiProject Albums, and I try to cover as many as I can, even if it's an artist I don't know. (Yes, I do the research on the album info first.)

I'm sure there's more to write here. Maybe something about how I'm an avid gamer, or how I love rhythm games or something. I'll write it whenever I've got more time. I'm a busy porter/programmer/violinist/student/graphic artist, you know!  :D
