I can NOT emphasize this enough. There seems to be a terrible bias among some editors that some sort of random speculative 'I heard it somewhere' pseudo information is to be tagged with a 'needs a cite' tag. Wrong. It should be removed, aggressively, unless it can be sourced. This is true of all information, but it is particularly true of negative information about living persons.

[edit] Advice to fellow editors

  • Learn to love WP:NOR, WP:V, and WP:NPOV. Praise and worship them daily.
  • Don't be afraid to remove text. You cannot permanently destroy anything. If people disagree with you, your edits can be discussed and partially or fully reverted. Removing text is often a good idea, and has an undeserved negative association with information destruction.
  • Use Cite.php. It's freaking cool.
  • Write as tersely as you can. The briefer your writing, the easier it is to read.
  • Don't create subheadings for just one or two paragraphs.
  • "See also" and "External links" sections are for links that are not already in the article body. Instead of adding links to the end, find the relevant section of the article and work the links into the text.
