Talk:Schroeder (Peanuts)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Is there a picture? Hard to remember these characters. Tfine80 1 July 2005 22:16 (UTC)

Reference for the idea that Schroeder's LAST name is Klein, please, I remember that somebody quoting Schulz said that Schroeder's LAST name was Schroeder and his FIRST name was unrevealed. Theodore W. 21:37, 28 July 2005 (UTC)

The "Trivia" section says that "Schroeder" is is first name and then says that it's unknown if it is or not! 68.39.174.238 05:55, 27 November 2005 (UTC)

  • Preliminary indications are that "Schroeder" is his LAST name. I recommend that you take out the "Klein" stuff (which I seriously question) and challenge someone to provide a definitive answer. Wahkeenah 06:52, 27 November 2005 (UTC)
  • Here's a direct quote from Charles Schulz taken directly from Peanuts Jubilee, a 1975 book. Based on this, I am changing the article: "Schroeder was named after a young boy with whom I used to caddy at Highland Park golf course in St. Paul. I don't recall ever knowing his first name, but just 'Schroeder' seemed right for the character in the script, even before he became the great musician he now is." That anonymous user has been editing Peanuts character pages and changing the names for no apparent reason. Check out their contribs. I've reverted all the ones that haven't been so far. --Birdhombre 01:10, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
