There's this guy who keeps insisting that he gave the lyrics to "School" to Mr. C when Kurt was visiting a small liberal arts college known for accepting high school dropouts in the winter of 1986/1987; that the words "my luck" are really "mylar" and that the inspiration was the disconnect between what the guy was saying about his tromp l'oeil holographic pin -- "Can you believe this is just mylar? there's no recess" and what Kurt heard, which was the guy cursing his luck about something.
