Schwetzingen Castle was the summer residence of the Electors Palatine Karl III Philip and Charles Theodore, and is situated in Schwetzingen between the Palatine residence towns of Heidelberg and Mannheim. It was built in its current form under Johann Wilhelm von der Pfalz by Breunig between 1700 and 1750.
