Schwarzenbach (German for black brook) is a town in the Wiener Neustadt-Land district, Lower Austria, Austria. 48.22 percent of the municipality is forested, the rest being made up of agricultural and barren land.

In Roman times, the area was part of the Roman Province of Pannonia. Lower Austria is located in the heartland of the nation, and played a key part of the History of Austria. Since 1992, archaeological discovery of an old Celtic settlement dating back to the 1st and the 2nd centuries has been excavated. The findings there show that the community was of great social and political importance.
