Scholes, South Yorkshire

Scholes is a small village near the south boundary of the former earl fitzwilliam woodhouse. Kepples collumn is the mark of fitzwilliams southern boundary. The land is now owned by rotherham bourough council, and is sadly decrepid and in need of restoration. The monument which is built in kepples coppice to the earls friend admiral kepple.Scholes only fully had all house fitted with electricity in the late 60's. Sadly land has being sold since the earls death and housing may be sold ruining the picteresque village and its beautiful sourroundings.
