Schmitti

"Schmitti" from the "Eifel" in Germany is a famous carnival singer. Schmitti is the stage name of Jürgen Schmitt. He sings at large carnival meetings and carnival parties in the Rhineland. A carnival party is a party, which takes place in the 5th Season. "Schmitti" often sings in Kölsch language. Schmitti was born 1949 in Bonn. First he studied Fine arts in the Staatliche Kunstakademie Düsseldorf (national academy of arts Düsseldorf). Since 1975 Juergen Schmitt is "Meisterschüler"[citation needed]. His teacher was the world-famous artist Joseph Beuys. Since 1995 he is a carnival singer. His release from 2006, the coversong Wooly Bully with german lyrics was a great success for Schmitti. Bernd von der Heyde and Udo Heck played Solo guitar. "Wooly Bully" with Sam the Sham was a worldwide sensation and sold 3 million copies, reaching No. 2 on the Billboard charts in the summer of 1965[citation needed].
