Schizoglossa major, is an extinct terrestrial mollusc in the family Rhytididae, endemic to the North Island of New Zealand. It is found with moa bones at Pukemiro in the Waikato area of the North Island.
The shell is very much larger than Schizoglossa worthyae and more roundly ovate.
Its length is up to 36 mm, a width of 26 mm, and a thickness of 8 mm.
