[edit] Guide to: School Clubs

Ned stumbles across Missy Meany’s new club: ‘Missy’s Declassified School Survival Manual Club’. The club is run by Missy, and tries to teach its members to always do what the popular students tell them, and not to think for their selves. Outside the club, he bumps into Moze and Cookie. Moze plans to spend time with Suzie in an after-school club, and is determined make a new best friend at the same time. Similarly, Ned is determined to shut down Missy’s club, and restore the good name of the Guide.

Later, Ned returns to Missy’s club, although this time, in disguise, in an attempt to liberate the club’s members. Missy soon spots Ned, and he gets thrown out. Cookie and Lisa try to decide what club to join. Realising that they don’t want to join any of them, Cookie decides to start his own, the Archaeology Club. Moze and Suzie try to decide what they should join. Eventually, after saying a definite ‘no’ to Mr. Kwest’s geeky ‘Gamers Club’ they join the Sewing Club. When they attend however, they soon get kicked out by Mr. Monroe after their competitive nature causes them to break their machines.

The next day, Moze decides to give school clubs with Suzie one more shot. Similarly, Ned is still determined to shut down Missy’s club. He just doesn’t know how. However, when Cookie reveals his Archaeology Club’s plans for a secret tunnel system around the school, Ned realises he can use the tunnels to break into the club. However, the best laid plans often go awry, and Ned, Cookie and Lisa fail to get anywhere near Missy’s club in their tunnels. At the same time, Moze and Suzie again get kicked out of every club they join.

Ned and co. finally reach Missy’s Club (but Missy’s not in it at the moment), and attempt to convince its members to leave the club. When Missy finally returns, she refers to her club’s members as ‘dorks’, to the outrage of the people there. Because of Missy’s outburst, all the members quit, and join Cookie’s Archaeology Club. Downhearted at being kicked out of almost every club in the school, Suzie and Moze decided to give Mr. Kwest’s Gamers Club a go, and shockingly, they love it! Later on, Ned stumbles across a club called Club Ned, steps inside, where he’s promptly viciously assaulted by The Huge Crew, ending the short.

[edit] Guide to: Video Projects

Mr. Monroe announces that the class are to create a video project. This leads to arguments between Ned, who wants to do a ninja movie, and Cookie, who wants to create a space epic. Similarly, in Mr. Wright’s class, he tells the class that they will be filming a documentary. Moze asks Mr. Wright if she could shoot her documentary about him, and agrees. Later, Moze settles Cookie and Ned’s debate by flipping a coin, Ned wins and he decides to star in a ninja movie, with Cookie directing to his disgust.

Later, Ned, Moze and Cookie head to the AV Room to borrow cameras. They see a strange silhouette in the window, of someone using a broom as some sort of sword. The door opens, revealing Martin, who quickly stuffs cameras in their hands, to their confusion. The next day, Moze starts to film her documentary on Mr. Wright. But he, in an attempt to seem cool, dresses up in skateboarding gear and speaks in ghetto lingo. Moze quickly realises then he’s taking advantage of her video project to seem more cool in front of the class.

Cookie reveals the first cut of his ninja movie to Ned. However, instead of creating a ninja flick, as agreed, he’s created his own space epic. Ned’s appalled, and declares that Cookie must create the martial arts film. Loomer and Crony run over to Ned and Cookie, and show a tape left in the camera they borrowed. It’s of Martin Qwerly doing Star Wars style action moves from a broom, and making a complete fool of himself. Martin soon finds out, to his horror. Cookie starts to film his ninja film, starring Ned. While doing so, Ned finds Martin hiding, and tries to convince him to look on the bright side. But it’s to no avail, and Martin remains depressed.

Moze has one last attempt at filming her documentary. When Mr. Wright again tries to appear cooler, Moze manages to convince him that’s he’s not cool at all, but he’s an excellent teacher, which is very cool indeed. Ned reveals the final cut of their film, but finds he’s accidentally recorded over it, halfway through. In panic over what to do, Ned thinks of the first draft of the film, Martin’s depression, and the non-recorded over half of the film. He creates a ninja film starring Martin, to his delight, and the class are so impressed that they stop mocking him. Ned and Cookie get awarded an A+.

[edit] Trivia

  • In the Video Projects short, Martin's Star Wars video is very similar to the infamous Star Wars kid video of Ghyslain Raza
