Sceneway Plaza

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sceneway Plaza is a shopping center in Hong Kong, it's also the location of the Immigration Department East Kowloon Office, it's located in Lam Tin, Kowloon and on top of Lam Tin MTR Station, and established in 1991.

There are a lot of small shops, including fashion shops, stationary shops, CD shops. The shopping center used to be an Japanese department store called Yaohan.

There are actually 5 floors in this shopping center, but most think that it only has 3 floors, due to not counting the immigration department floors and the bottom floor as floors. (the bottom floor has only the escalator and a bookstore)

Also, there are some unlicensed cold noodles shops are opened, they were been monitored by the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department before, but because of the shops sold their noodles for a low price, students that are near to Sceneway Plaza still buy the noodles. A lot of students are littering the noodle's packaging after they finished eating it, causing environmental problems. Also, Yoshinoya was opened in July, 2006.

In July 2006, the Shanghainese restaurant was closed permanently. In early August 2006, a Fairwood fast-food restaurant opened in its place.
