[edit] Request for edit summary
Hi. I am a bot, and I am writing to you with a request. I would like to ask you, if possible, to use edit summaries a bit more often when you contribute. The reason an edit summary is important is because it allows your fellow contributors to understand what you changed; you can think of it as the "Subject:" line in an email. For your information, your current edit summary usage is 11% for major edits and 0% for minor edits. (Based on the last 150 major and 25 minor edits in the article namespace.)
This is just a suggestion, and I hope that I did not appear impolite. You do not need to reply to this message, but if you would like to give me feedback, you can do so at the feedback page. Thank you, and happy edits, Mathbot 19:00, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Thanks!
Hey, I noticed your edits to Jack Van Impe and Robert Tilton and wanted to thank you for the information you added to those articles. I wrote those two articles in substantial part, but wasn't aware of any of the facts that you added, which were quite interesting. Thanks! - Jersyko·talk 19:04, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
You're welcome! Scarletsmith 19:08, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Trauma: Life in the E.R.
When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labelled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.
When you leave the edit summary blank, some of your edits could be mistaken for vandalism and may be reverted, so please always briefly summarize your edits, especially when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you.

[edit] License tagging for Image:Bobandmaria.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Bobandmaria.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 00:05, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] A note about removing red links
Removing redlinks to people we will never have an article on is good but don't remove them if it is reasonable for us to eventually have an article about them. a) This lets people know that the article doesn't yet exist and b) if someone else happens to make an article about the person then the article is already linked there. [edit] Golden Plates
Sorry - my bad re the Typo summary - I should have noticed that there was another intervening edit. I'm going to leave it though, to see if one of the other editors agrees with your change - but I will post on the talk page. --Trödel 15:16, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
