I don't see any problem with this page. It has info from the toy box, and people who read the comic books and watched the TV show. Seems fine to me. 6-21-06 user:Mathewignash
[edit] Name Misspelled
The name "Scattorshot" is spelled "Scattershot." It is spelled that way in the TV series and the Transformers webpage. 1-3-07 Tiggs 04:04, 4 January 2007 (UTC)Tiggs97 —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Tiggs97 (talk • contribs) 04:03, 4 January 2007 (UTC).
INCORRECT - His official spelling is ScattOrshot, with an "o" - as said here on the Hasbro web site - http://www.hasbro.com/default.cfm?page=browse&product_id=17282 There was another characters from the 1980's who was named SCATTERSHOT, but it's a different guy. user:mathewignash
However, if you go to the Transformers website-http://www.hasbro.com/transformers/default.cfm?page=Bios&phase=cybertron&faction=autobot&name=SCATTERSHOT- you will see that it is spelled "Scattershot."Tiggs 15:47, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
- The toy says Scattorshot on it. It's possibly that Scattershot was originally the name, but it was changed to the odd spelling in order to more easilt trademark it. As you can see on the page that has their instructions (in a PDF file called ScattErshot!) they have the instructions, where he's called ScattOrshot(TM). http://www.hasbro.com/common/instruct/Transformers_Cybertron_Scattershot.pdf
- I'm guessing by changing the spelling, they got their Trademark. Same as Cybertron Brakedown (TM), with a former Transformer character called Breakdown. Had to change it to something that wasn't a common word. user:mathewignash
