[edit] University degree

"In the last five years, many US universities have begun offering degree programs in scatology."

Qs:

  1. 1999 - 2003?
  2. How "many"?
  3. Which universities?
  4. Undergraduate or graduate?

Really, like what universities? Zephyrprince 02:37, 1 Mar 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Scuzi?

Scatology is not to be confused with eschatology, the study of the end of the world.

Is this necessary? — Ilγαηερ (Tαlκ) 01:50, 15 July 2005 (UTC)

They are pronounced and spelled similarly, but I'm not sure if it's neccessary...Do you think it's a common mistake that might be made?--24.1.160.226 04:39, 14 August 2005 (UTC)

The above poster was myself. I went ahead and revised the note about eschatology. If you look at the sidebar, Spanish calls Scatology "Eschatologie". I think that's good reason to add the note.--Fourthgeek 04:53, 14 August 2005 (UTC)

Interesting commentary .. and useful! Many people may look up a word based on phonetics. Finding an incongruous definition would just leave one confused -- having the reference to a similar sounding (but entymologically different) word is a variant that makes this better than an ordinary Websters' entry.
