SBOA (State Bank Officers Association, S.B.O.A.) Schools are group of schools in Tamil Nadu. It is one of the top schools in India. This article mainly describes the Chennai branch, SBOA School and Junior College.

The first school (SBOA School and Junior College) was started by the State Bank of India Officer's Association Educational Trust in 1979 at Chennai. It was originally started for the benefit of the bank's officers' children.

The schools are located in Chennai, Madurai, Coimbatore and Ernakulam. Most are affiliated to the Tamil Nadu State Board.

The SBOA School & Junior College, Chennai was started in 1979 as a service project of the State Bank Of India Officers Association.

The Academic Governing body consists of one senior principal and 3 vice principals. There are various academic supervisors spear heading the various departments.

The school was made a steady growth in the past 21 years and now has to its credit a strength of 6241 students and 244 teachers.It is affliated to the Central Board Of Secondary Education,New Delhi and prepares the students for the All India Secondary and Senior Secondary Examinations.The school is managed by SBIOA Educational Trust.The school has held a record of securing 100% pass percentage in both the 10 th and 12 th exams for more than the past 21 years.

SBOA Schools give equal emphasis on academics and personality development. The students have access to a wide range of activities in clubs such as:

2. Road Safety Patrol
3. National Cadet Corps
4. Junior Red Cross etc.
Activities throughout the year are organized under the various houses - each student is part of a house named after the major Tamil kingdoms:
Cheran
Cholan
Pandyan
Pallavan

The school has one of the best and largest infrastructure, for a school, in the city of Chennai. There is one Main Building for students of class 6-12. There is another building for classes 1-6, which is the largest block of the school. There is one Rotunda like structure for kindergarten children which is air-conditioned. The school also has a hostel facility for boys.
The school has an outdoor auditorium and one indoor auditorium (Indira Gandhi Auditorium). A theatre hall is under construction.
The school also boasts two basketball courts and a football ground (non-grass).
