Sayon's Bell (サヨンの鐘 Sayon no kane?) was a 1943 black-and-white film by Japanese film director Hiroshi Shimizu based on the story of a 17-year old Atayal girl called Sayon from Nan'oku village, Giran district, Taihoku Prefecture (in Taiwan) who went missing and thought to have drowned whilst helping carry the luggage of her teacher Masaki Takita during a storm in 1938.
