Say Cheese and Die! was the fourth Goosebumps book by R. L. Stine.

[edit] Plot

While exploring a deserted house, a group of friends discover a cursed camera that takes pictures of horrible events that have not yet occurred, only for these events to happen later.

[edit] Say Cheese and Die - Again

A sequel, Say Cheese and Die... Again!, was later released. Again, it focused on the cursed camera returning and causing havoc, only this time, it focused on Greg (the main character) and Shari (his friend) with the camera. When Shari accidentally takes Greg's picture, Greg is shown as a chubby kid. Greg takes Shari's picture and it turns up as a negative. Throughout the book, Greg and Shari begin to feel the effects of the pictures as Greg gets fatter and fatter while Shari grows thinner and thinner. They reverse the effect by changing the negative into a positive and the positive into a negative.

[edit] Trivia

Both stories were inspired by the original episode of the Twilight Zone, A Most Unusual Camera.

Say Cheese and Die! is also the name of a song by Death Metal/Grindcore band Dr. Acula from Long Island, NY
