It wouldn't surprise me if someone found "saxophonics" itself to be a neologism. However, the concepts involved are not new at all, and a lot of history was missing from previous versions (e.g., no mention of the Varitone or Eddie Harris). A neologism at best. This entry seems to define the word as a catchall term for any and extended saxophone techniques, and I've never heard it before; I'm not convinced it's an actual word...or at least it wasn't until someone posted this entry. How does one nominate this page for deletion? -- JP!
