[edit] This article mentioned on SaviourMachine.com
This article was recently mentioned by a poster in the Saviour Machine Arena, on the band's official website (topic: "Saviour Machine on wikipedia.org", posted a few days ago). I'd address that on their board, but I had difficulty registering there (although I used to post there before it became a PHP-based forum), so I'll summarize their comment and reply here. S/he stated, "Surely someone here can write something better than that! Who is up to it? Share your knowledge with the world!" A while back, I wrote down the things I knew about the band and put them here. If anyone has anything to add, then please by all means do it. --Idont Havaname 02:41, 5 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] I took a shot...
I spent some time adding content/editing. Hope people enjoy it! Andy Heuer (01.13.06)
- Sorry, but a lot of what you added was copied from the biography on the band's website. This is not allowed, per Wikipedia:Copyright problems. Please make sure to cite your sources, as well. Thanks for your contributions; I'm in the process of altering them to be more in line with our policies (such as neutral point of view), but additions to the article are certainly welcome, provided that they follow the rules. Also, do you have a source about the New Union show? I've been a fan of the band for about 5 years now, but haven't heard any accounts of this show. It was a very interesting addition, but it does need a source - for the quote in particular. --Idont Havaname (Talk) 03:55, 14 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] To Idont Havaname
Hi Idont Havaname. Thanks for editing and helping to make sure the page fits within Wikipedia's guidelines by staying objective. Can selected portions from the band's Website be included if cited using an embedded HTML link? Or do you need an email from Saviour Machine granting permission for this sort of quotation?
As far as the New Union account goes, I was there. I have edited the section to be more objective, and I took out the quote because there is no way to officially cite it, as no recordings or printed reviews of the show exist. I hope this is satisfactory - or does it still need a source (if so, what would qualify)?
Thanks for helping keep this objective - and I am glad you are a fan!
By the way - I hope you'll join the new Saviour Machine message message board. It's actually not too difficult to register.

- It would be best to have an external source regarding the New Union show. (See WP:NOR, which states that we shouldn't be posting original research on the site. It's useful especially with scientific claims, but it applies here as well.) Hopefully, perhaps in a future (or past) interview, a member of the band could discuss the show. That sounds like it might be in back issues of HM Magazine, but I only have 3 issues of it from 1998, so I wouldn't be able to check.
- Regarding the Arena, I used to post on the old one but had problems registering for the new one. (I think I got an error message saying that I could only register once per email address, or something like that.) However, I used to spend a lot of time on forums but usually spend most of that time here.
- To time/datestamp, use ~~~~~. A simple ~~~~ (I use --~~~~, and a lot of others write it with the two hyphens too) will add your name. I'll go ahead and put a talk header template on this page, in case anyone else has questions about that.

- Thanks for the additional feedback. I will look for a citation for the New Union show. Unfortunately, Heaven's Metal never mentioned the concert, as I watched closely and the New Union had a tight grip on how information about that show was handled (which I learned in later conversations with New Union management). However, I am sure a band member has discussed it in an interview somewhere.

[edit] Additional information added
I added additional information (about the evolution of the band's musical style and the release of their two live albums) to the history section.
