[edit] Savestate
There seems to be some overlap between this article and the Savestate article, which discusses saved states from a general emulation perspective. Should something be done about this? I started that article, not knowing about this one, but I don't really think that they should be merged, since this article is too game-specific. Since Saved state was merged into this article, though, it seems that some might disagree, so I thought I'd mention it. Amaurea 14:08, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Improving NPOV
The article originally stated:
- a game would be too easy if the player was allowed to save the game at any time.
However I feel this is not NPOV. IMHO, there is never need to stop people from saving to make the game harder. It should be up to the player to choose how they want to use save games. If a game becomes too easy if saves are misused, then it is the players fault. I've never had a game where I'm thankful for the inability to save (although some games are more annoying then others). I'm not suggesting we go into this detail it's unsourced anyway but hopefully you can see why I feel it not NPOV to imply the game would be too easy otherwise. Rather, I've changed it do stress it's an attempt to change the difficulty. I actually feel it would be better to say 'it's an attempt to better dictate the difficulty level' but I'll leave it as is now. Nil Einne 20:11, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
