Notability isn't transitive—having someone notable write you a foreword doesn't make you notable. mgekelly 09:54, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

Well, of course not. Although having notable people in your field reading and complimenting your work does at least suggest it's getting a pretty fair level of peer academic attention (particularly in the case of a book rather than a journal entry). Sarge Baldy 17:19, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
