Saulkrasti - (in translation from Latvian language - Sun coasts) sea town of Latvia, which lies on the east coast of Gulf of Riga.
Saulkrasti carries its present name since 1933, when the villages of east coast of Gulf of Riga were marged into one common municipal structure, and since 1991 it is a town.
The town is famous for its beautiful, virgin nature and beaches, as a nice place to spend a summertime.
The city motto "The town closer to the Sun. Town which carries the name of the Sun".
