Saukar Angatahalli Muddabasavaiah

Saukar Angatahalli Muddabasavaiah was the richest man in the whole of kuruba community of the princely state of Mysore. He helped the poor people a lot irrespective of their community and religion. Everyday nearly 150 people used to have their food in his house. He had donated lot of money to many religious institutions and to the welfare of the poor people. He did not venture into business since he thought that it is a place where it leads to untruthfulness. He had a good relationship with the Maharaja of Mysore Jayachamarajendra Wodeyar. They used to go to walk in Chamundi Hills together and discuss about the welfare of the people.
