Satkania is located at 22.0875° N 92.0847° E . It has 50656 units of house hold and total area 280.99 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^GRBangladeh, Satkania has a population of 299762. Males constitute are 50.1% of the population, and females 49.9%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 139511. Satkania has an average literacy rate of 30.4% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[1]
