Satellite finder
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A satellite finder or meter is a device used to determine the optimum direction in which to point a satellite dish in order to receive the strongest possible signal from an orbiting satellite.
Simple analog satellite finders can be purchased in many electrical supply stores. These may have an adjustable potentiometer that shows only the signal strength without providing any additional information. More expensive digital meters may display the signal strength, error rate, and give positive identification of the satellite being targeted. ebay is most common place where you can find suitable satellite finder / meter
