[edit] Image tagging for Image:Woods 2.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Woods 2.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:2005 11 catherinewoods.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:2005 11 catherinewoods.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
. If you have not already done so please also include the source of the image; in most cases the website where you found it.
Please signify the copyright information and source on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Renata 14:41, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Catherine Woods
I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Catherine Woods, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree, discuss the issues raised at Talk:Catherine Woods. If you remove the {{dated prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Please do not recreate "Catherine Woods." This article was deleted according to Wikipedia policy and community consensus. See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Catherine Woods. Greetings, Catherine Woods. I took the picture in shallow water blackout to try to show people exactly what a victim of SWB looks like. Floating on the ceiling doesn't really convey the right image of what's happening. I appreciate your interest in the article but I would be really, really grateful if you could let it rest. Apart from anything else I am here in Dili, Timor Leste on an aid project and my internet bandwidth and access is extremely limited and unreliable. I am not able to cope with a lot of activity on my principal pages until I get back to Australia, it's about as much as I can do to download my watchlist and it's kind of stressful. I guess if the picture is going to get adjusted we'll just have to pull it but I think it's useful and it balances off the other one in deep water blackout. The picture is also there with the permission of the lady who helped me stage it, and I need to keep her happy that the image is being used as it was originally intended. Please help me to do that. [edit] You're a devout Jewish woman, I'm not
Catherine, please stop trying to get some vandalism into articles and talk pages. You've said from day one you're a devout Jewish woman, so why would you insist I'm a jew when I'm an episcopalian and you're a jew. Please do not alter this again. Thanks FoxSportsRadio 16:35, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
Fine good for you, I am Christian. Does it matter, all it means is I'm actually gonna go somewhere after my death. Just so you know, my name is Eric Bannister, younger brother of Troy Bannister, who operates under numerous wikipedia names, and I contribute to many articles. I generally contribute to my church, as a server. But I don't go every week. FoxSportsRadio 12:51, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Suad Husni
Sarah, quit vandalising the Suad Husni article, because it's getting extreme. FoxSportsRadio 12:51, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Murder scene.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Murder scene.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] Atheist?
That was a Henny Youngman joke: "I used to be an atheist, but I gave it up: No holidays!" I am a generally non-practicing Protestant (i.e. not Catholic and generally not churchgoing), though I am known to fall back on the words of Jesus, i.e. to quote them when I agree with them. I am willing and interested to hear about others' religious views, or absence thereof, since I don't pretend to claim that my views, or the views of any religion, have any special monopoly on The Truth. I do claim to be a member of The Church of Baseball. That's another little joke, Annie's comment from Bull Durham. Wahkeenah 02:54, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Concerns...
Catherine, I'm actually a relation of the real Catherine Woods. I'm sorry about the confusion with your page. I've reverted it because it is your user information and not mine. However, since you've indicated that the username is indeed related to the real Catherine Woods, I would like you to know that I am disheartened by your inaccurate portrayal of her life. I would like to simply request that you modify your content and/or username to stop pretending to be my murdered family member. Since you are an avid contributer to this website, you probably already know how to change your username, but here's a tag anyway WP:CHU. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

[edit] Image:Spaghetti Strap.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:Spaghetti Strap.gif. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add
{{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ytny (talk) 04:46, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. However, we remind you not to attack other editors, as you did here: Steve Atwater. [edit] Spaghetti Straps
It seems quite jarring to me to illustrate a trivial item like spaghetti straps with a news photo from the Columbine massacre. Note though that that was the last of four concerns about the photo's use, which I listed in descending order. I would also add that the straps probably only marginally qualify as spaghetti straps, broadly defined. They aren't any narrower than standard bra straps, for example, and certainly aren't thin, round strands. I'm curious if you have a strong feeling about why this photo is better than the alternative. It really is not apparent to me, but I may be missing something. Thanks for dealing with that nonsense about men's clothing, by the way. Langrel 17:16, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
- The appropriateness of the photo aside, it fails the fair use criteria #1, which says "No free equivalent is available or could be created that would adequately give the same information." News agency photos rarely qualify as fair use, per Criteria #2, and certainly not for something as easy to reproduce as an image of spaghetti straps. Ytny (talk) 21:45, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
- Like I said, Sarah Goldberg, I'm sure they probably do technically qualify. I was just questioning why you would have a strong feeling that this image is an especially good one as compared to another. Anyway, that was more of an aside. Copyright is the more significant issue. Langrel 22:01, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

- How did you find my subpage?
- You've been known to vandalize pages, so how do I know that your edit wasn't vandalism?
