the Saron is an Indonesian instrument, which is used in the Gamelan. It is made with six or seven bronze keys placed on a wooden frame. It is played by hitting a wooden mallet(tabuh) in the right hand on to thick metal/bronze keys. The Saron is usually 20cm but there is 3 different types of sarons.
