Sarishabari is located at 24.7417° N 89.8333° E . It has 58254 units of house hold and total area 263.48 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^GRBangladeh, Sarishabari has a population of 289106. Males constitute are 51.66% of the population, and females 48.34%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 148197.
