Sarina State High School is located in the small rural town of Sarina, Queensland, Australia and is the only secondary school in the Sarina Shire. The school had 600 students in 2007 with a reported 20 percent continuing studies at University.[1]

The school runs a community based literacy intervention program to assist students in all years with literacy and numeracy.[2]

There is a $A659,000 vocational qualifications agricultural initiative underway at the school that has national ministerial support.[3][4]
