Sariakandi is located at 24.8833° N 89.5667° E . It has 46406 units of house hold and total area 432.55 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^GRBangladeh, Sariakandi has a population of 229563. Males constitute are 50.93% of the population, and females 49.07%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 113673. Sariakandi has an average literacy rate of 22.1% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[1]
