Saraswati Vandana Mantra

Saraswati Vandana Mantra is an important hindu mantra that is recited for higher knowledge and wisdom.

The goddess Saraswati is the authority on academics and the arts. Everybody from musicians to scientists in India pray to her for guidance and knowledge. The Saraswati Vandana Mantra is recited by her devotees every morning for good luck:

Yaa Kun-dendu tushaara haara-dhava-laa, Yaa shubhra-vastraav-ritha| Yaa veena-vara dand-amandit-kara, Yaa shwetha pad-maa-sana|| Yaa brahmaa-chyutha shan-kara prabhri-ti-bhir Devai-sadaa Vand-itha| Saa Maam Paatu Saraswatee Bhagava-tee Nihshesha jaad-yaa-pa-haa||
