Sarah Watts

Sarah Watts is a history professor at Wake Forest University and author of "Rough Rider in the White House: Theodore Roosevelt and the Politics of Desire".
Sarah was a high school teacher in Lawton, Oklahoma (Eisenhower High School) in the 1970's. She was highly respected by her students and brought a breath of fresh air to a conservative, military community.
Many of her students credit her with opening their minds to new ideas. She taught classes like comparative religions in the "Bible Belt".
She also created an on-the-spot barber shop for young boys enrolling in public school to get their hair just within the school dress code.
