Sarah Turner

Sarah Grace Turner (born November 14, 1978) is an American journalist and media critic. An advocate of media democracy, Turner emphasizes community-owned media and counter-media.

As a Pacifica radio reporter with WPFW-Washington DC, WIBA-NYC, KPFA-Berkeley, and WORT-Madison, Turner provided on-the-spot coverage of many recent anti-corporate protests, including the FTAA protests in Quebec City and Miami, the IMF protests in Washington DC, and the RNC and DNC national conventions in 2004. Her written work has been published in the Miami Herald, Washington Post, Wisconsin State Journal, Z Magazine, Counterpunch, and the Liberty Tree Journal. Turner works as a producer of public radio's "Here on Earth: Radio Without Borders."
