Sara McMann (born September 24, 1980 in Takoma Park, Maryland) is the first American woman in history to receive a silver medal in women's wrestling at the 2004 Summer Olympics games in Athens, Greece. She wrestled in the Women's Freestyle 63 kg or 138.75 lb weight class.

She attended McDowell High School where, in addition to wrestling, she participated in theatre productions. She earned a degree in Theatre at Lock Haven University, where she was a member of the school's wrestling team under the coaching of Carl Poff. She later attended University of Minnesota-Morris where she was coached by Doug Reese.

While driving her Jeep in Colorado on the way to the airport to catch a flight to Washington, DC with her fiance, ASU All-American wrestler Steven Blackford as her passenger, the vehicle ran off the road and rolled over. He was ejected from the vehicle because he was not wearing a seatbelt, and died at the scene. McMann was hospitalized, and later charged with reckless driving.
