Sappada (Cimbrian: Plodn, German: Pladen) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Belluno in the Italian region Veneto, located about 130 km north of Venice and about 60 km northeast of Belluno. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,339 and an area of 62.6 km2.[1]
Sappada borders the following municipalities: Forni Avoltri, Prato Carnico, Santo Stefano di Cadore, Vigo di Cadore.
