Sapin
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Kingdom of Sapin is a fictional country from the game Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War. It is thought to be based on real-life Spain, due to various descriptions of the area, the accent of pilots from there, and the fact that "Sapin" is a simple anagram of "Spain". There are two squadrons from Sapin in the game, one named Espada, Spanish for sword, and Suerte, Spanish for Luck. the nation's capital, Gran Rugido, means "Great Roar."
Sapin is bordered by Oured Bay to the south, Ustio to the north, the Futuro canal to the west, and Ratio to the east.

[edit] History
In 1995, Belka invaded Sapin, as well as Osea and Ustio. Sapin, the Osean Federation, the Union of Yuktobanian Republics, and the Republic of Ustio formed the Allied Forces. The Allies won the war and regained their land. In 2020, Sapin still exists, although it is not involved in the Circum-Pacific War or the events of Ace Combat X.
[edit] Military
The Kingdom of Sapin's military, while not as strong as its neighbor Osea's, was still an important contributor to the Allied Forces during the Belkan War. After the war, several units from the Sapin military defected to A World With No Boundaries.
