[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia!!!

Hello SandManMattSH! Welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. If you decide that you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Please remember to sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Finally, Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This is considered an important guideline in Wikipedia. Even a short summary is better than no summary. An edit summary is even more important if you delete any text; otherwise, people may think you're being sneaky or even vandalizing. Below are some recommended guidelines to facilitate your involvement. Happy Editing! -- Kukini 17:24, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Reversions

On 27 August, you reverted a Defacement to the article on Warren Towers at Boston University and asked "Is there another way to do this?"

I don't know how you did it, but the most direct way is to open the version of the article just before the defacement, select "Edit This Page" and immediately Save the page. This saves the previous version as the current version and thus eliminates vandalism. Of course, if some valid changes were also made in the time between vandalism and reversion, those are also lost and it is the responsibility of the person doing the reversion to find and restore them manually. Or click on the '('undo')' link at the top of the version you wish to revert (usually displayed on the right of your browser, with the version you wish to go back to on the left). Refsworldlee(chew-fat)(eds) 23:14, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
