[edit] Scences at St. Johann

there is no notice found in your reference that it had been casted even in St. Johann. Werfen is not St. Johann and even not Rossfeld. As I handle the bus at Salzburg going around to all locations of the film I am quite sure that St. Johann never has been a place in "Sound of Music". Mosaico 06:07, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

You are correct, that's why I clarified that it was in Werfern, a few kilometers to the north of St. Johann. My reasoning is that I'll be visiting St. Johann from the US in a month or so, and was very intrigued to find out the Werfen thing when learning about St. Johann. However, Werfen is a small enough town that I never would have thought to look at its Wikipedia article. Since the St. Johann article is more likely to be visited by people in the future, I don't think including the reference to the Sound of Music filming location a little bit north in Werfen is a big deal. I'll try to clarify this more in the article. And maybe I'll see you in Salzburg!--TrustTruth 18:30, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
You are welcome at any time! Neither St. Johann nor Werfen itself are worth to be visited but nearby Werfen the castle Hohenwerfen! The traces of the Sound-of-Music-film are mainly founded in the city of Salzburg or closed surrounding area as well as in the lake district Salzkammergut. Enjoy your stay in Austria!
