I'm a little confused by the picture - it is clearly the 28 June 1711 edition of the newspaper, but the title seems not to be just Vedomosti. However, the article suggests that the paper was only renamed in 1727 - by which reasoning a 1711 edition should simply be entitled Vedomosti. Is this an 1855 reprint with the new title retroactively applied? Or is the reference to Saint Petersburg in the top line simply the location of printing rather than an integral part of the title? You are absolutely correct. It is "the location of printing rather than an integral part of the title". Cheers, Ghirla -трёп- 07:41, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
