the sentence regarding population deriving in modern times from Peten could be correct in terms of "current" population, but it is very misleading since ancient Mayans have been in the area for over 1500 years. proof is nearby at lubaantun :) regards. Anlace 21:58, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
