Santa Rosa is located 78 km. northwest of the regional center, Anápolis. It is approximately half the distance between Taquaral de Goiás and Petrolina de Goiás.
Neighboring municipalities: Taquaral de Goiás, Jaraguá, Jesúpolis, and Petrolina de Goiás, and Itauçu.
