Santa Maria a Monte is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Pisa in the Italian region Tuscany, located about 45 km west of Florence and about 25 km east of Pisa. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 11,266 and an area of 38.3 km2.[1]
Santa Maria a Monte borders the following municipalities: Bientina, Calcinaia, Castelfranco di Sotto, Montopoli in Val d'Arno, Pontedera.
