Santa Fe High School (California)

Santa Fe High School is located in Santa Fe Springs, California. The school serves over 2,000 students. Santa Fe celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2005.

Notable alumni include Joe Gibbs, head coach of the Washington Redskins, astronaut Tammy Jernigan, Mark Kotsay of the Oakland A's, Manny Martinez aka (Manny Mxxnshine)Disc Jockey,and Olympic softball player Laura Berg.

Dedicated in 1954, Santa Fe High School serves 9-12 graders in the cities of Santa Fe Springs, Norwalk, Downey, and Whittier.

[edit] Recent Renovations

Santa Fe High has also gone through a massive construction process to add classrooms and modernize existing ones. Additionally, a new front gate has been added for safety and the school now has a two-layer fence system to protect it against unwanted visitors and intruders. The North Quad has also been partially opened up but is still under renovation due to a new classroom being built. The construction is projected to be finished by mid-summer 2007.
