Santa Esmeralda

Santa Esmeralda was an U.S./French disco group formed in the 1970s, which spawned a club hit in 1977 with a cover version of the song "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood". The group also scored a lesser hit with a disco version of "The House Of The Rising Sun".
The song re-entered the popular consciousness in 2003 when it appeared on the soundtrack to the first volume of Quentin Tarantino's homage to the martial arts film genre, Kill Bill.
