Sanakarlingapuram is an industrial village and a Village panchayat in Virudhunagar district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

The village is located in the bank of Arjuna river, a dry river. Sankaralingapuram has contents of black soil around the town, suitable for cotton cultivation. The village lies in bettwn NH7 and the state highway connecting Virudhunagar & Sivakasi. It has very good road and railway connectivity. The village is previouly famous for its handloom weaving industry. Nowadays, we can hardly see such in-house handloom industries. The village also has many other small scale cottage industries like match industries, fire works.
The village is now famous for Eatable Items like Mutton, Karuppu Mittai.
The village has many moderate size temples of Goddess Sowdambigai amman and Lord Muruga.
